The Meunier-144 JV property is located in the western part of the prolific Timmins gold camp, just 19 kilometres west of the town of Timmins. It has a total land package of 167 hectares within 10 patented claims. The Meunier-144 property is a 50/50 joint venture with Tahoe Resources, the operator of the project.
The property primarily encompasses a sequence of volcanic rocks located on the northwest side of the West Timmins sedimentary basin and along the west extension of the Bristol fault from the Timmins Mine and Thunder Creek properties. Tahoe is currently operating a large-scale mining operation just one kilometre east of the property with probable reserves of 3.3Mt at 4.6 g/t Au for 492,000 ounces, indicated resources of 4.4 Mt ounces at 5.1 g/t Au for 714,000 ounces and inferred resources of 2.0 Mt at 5.5 g/t Au for 516,000 ounces (Lake Shore Gold - NI 43-101 - March 31, 2014).
